How to Configure Thunderbird 2.0.0.0
- Click on Tools >> Account Settings... from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

- On the bottom left of the screen click on Add Account...

- Select Email Account

- Fill out Your Name and your Email Address

- Select IMAP and fill in the Incoming Server and Outgoing Server text fields with mail.pa.msu.edu then click next Next.

- Thunderbird automatically guess your username. It should be your PA NetID.
ie. smithj@pa.msu.edu
- Name the account then click Next. Check to make sure everything is spelled correctly then click Finish.


- Under the Server Settings option click on Advanced

- Name the IMAP server directory mail and unselect Server supports folders that contain sub-folders and messages and Allow server to override these namespaces.
