- Introduction
If you are using SSH Secure Shell for Workstations for Windows, you have access to a powerful and secure file copy tool. SCP is secure file copy and is included with the SSH Secure Shell client. With this you can securely move files to, from, and within a server running SSH.
- Installation
SCP is included with SSH Secure Shell for Workstations. Installation instructions for that package can be found in
Installing SSH Secure Shell for Workstations.
- Using SCP
Connect to a computer as described in Installing SSH Secure Shell for Workstations. Then click on the New File Transfer Window Icon or Choose New File Transfer from the Window Menu. This will open an SCP Transfer Window to your home directory on the server. You can drag-and-drop files to and from this window, create and delete files and directories, and so forth.
